Your voice is a powerful healing instrument, whether you are humming, speaking, chanting, toning, or singing. And you always have it with you! The sounds and vibrations of your voice can stimulate the vagus nerve which boosts our immune system, healing and digestion, and reduces inflammation. Humming and toning boosts the production of Nitric Oxide which relaxes smooth muscle cells in the walls of blood vessels, resulting in vasodilation. Vocal sounds can also help break the pain-spasm-pain cycle bringing relief from chronic pain. This class will be a mixture of learning and practicing various skills such as humming, chanting, and toning. No previous experience is needed. Class is limited to 12 people.
